The many disasters of President Trump's war now include an American fighter jet downed over Iran. Meanwhile, Pete Hegseth is moving forward with a shocking plan to allow service members to carry personal weapons at military bases. The White House is also asking for $1.5 trillion in military spending, which, if approved, would be the most in American history.
Terrified? You're not alone. Personally, I'm keeping afloat by pondering the wise words of Ms. Rachel and kicking off my third rewatch of the GOAT, Girls. (I may still feel like crap about the world, but at least we can always return to perfectly crafted television genius!)
So, let's switch gears and try a relatively fun thought experiment. Ahead of King Charles' stateside visit this month, my colleagues want to know: If you could snap your fingers and turn Trump into a ceremonial monarch like King Charles, with no control over the US government, would you do it?
Just remember, though, that would require installing all the other ridiculous, tax-draining features of having a ceremonial monarchy here in the United States. Let us know.
