I just spent 18 minutes on the phone with a pathetically ignorant intern in Sen Mark Warner's DC office about the e mailed response I received from them regarding NOT MY pres drumpf, the USPS and mail-in ballots. He was not even aware of the controversy. Below is the e mail I sent to Sen Warner's office today, then my original e mail to Sen Warner, then his reply and then my final comments closing today's e mail. Will be interesting to see what, if anything, I get back...
I recently e mailed you regarding NOT MY pres drumpf's/trump's demand that the USPS not send out mail-in ballots to anyone in all the states. Here is the e mail I sent on 19 JUNE 26...
The corrupt drumpf/trump-vance administration is telling the USPS to adopt a rule that would allow them to not deliver mail in ballots to voters and so deny them their right to vote. The USPS should focus on providing reliable, affordable, universal mail service—especially for voting and election-related mail. What we don’t need? This proposed rule, which would turn USPS into an election administrator and fundamentally change vote by mail for the worse.
Vote by mail is, for many Americans, either the most convenient or accessible option or the only option to cast a ballot. In 2024, nearly one-third of voters used mail-in ballots. This proposed rule would make it harder or even impossible for many of us to continue voting by mail, effectively blocking millions from the ballot box.
Voting is a fundamental right and freedom which should be available to all eligible voters. Our voting rights are a foundation of our democratic Republic and nobody should have the power to deny any American their right to vote. I’m urging you take and support all necessary actions to stop this proposed rule and keep the USPS delivering mail, not become an impromptu election administration agency. Please work with the entire Virginia congressional delegation to stop this voter suppression rule from being adopted.

Thank you for contacting me regarding the United States Postal Service (USPS).
The Postal Service plays a crucial role in keeping our communities, especially in rural areas, connected to each other and to the wider world. From delivering prescription medications and household goods, to election ballots, paychecks, and critical bills, USPS continues to be an essential part of Americans’ everyday lives.
On March 5, 2026, Postmaster General David Steiner testified before Congress that the Postal Service “would be out of cash in less than 12 months” unless Congress allows the agency to borrow more money and charge more for postage. Mr. Steiner asked Congress to consider significant changes to preserve funding, including lifting a $15 billion cap on borrowing for USPS that has been in place since 1990, as well as allowing the Postal Service to increase prices and decrease delivery days. If changes are not made, Mr. Steiner said USPS might not be able to pay its employees or vendors by February 2027.
Virginians are unfortunately familiar with the impacts of mail delivery falling short in the Commonwealth. In late 2023, USPS chose Richmond, Virginia as the first location to implement sweeping reforms under the ‘Delivering for America’ plan, including opening the Richmond Regional Processing and Distribution Center (RPDC). Shortly after, Virginia’s on-time service performance became the worst in the country. Throughout 2024, I met with then-Postmaster General Louis DeJoy on three occasions to push USPS to do everything in its power to improve mail service in Virginia. Throughout that year, we saw steady improvements in USPS’s mail service as we continued to press for increased transparency, greater engagement with the public, and a higher standard of service.
Despite stabilization in service at the Richmond RPDC, some communities in Virginia still experience service performance issues. I remain committed to working with USPS and my Senate colleagues to ensure the Postal Service continues to effectively serve all of our communities, which includes rejecting plans to dissolve or privatize USPS. On February 28, 2025, I led all Democratic members of Virginia’s Congressional delegation on a letter urging President Trump to halt any proposal that would alter the USPS without congressional consultation and approval. Since Congress passed the Postal Reorganization Act of 1970, USPS has operated as an independent agency run by a bipartisan Board of Governors who are appointed by the president and confirmed by the Senate. However, Congress has at times acted to support USPS with long-term solutions. For example, I was proud to join many of my Congressional colleagues to pass the Postal Service Reform Act in 2022, which aimed to address mail delivery by strengthening transparency and accountability, as well as bolster the Postal Service’s finances.
I look forward to working with my Senate colleagues on both sides of the aisle to advance bipartisan and comprehensive reforms to ensure the Postal Service continues to carry out its mission well into the future.

This response shows a level of incompetence within your staff as it is obvious all that was noted about my e mail involved the USPS so the stock form letter in your office regarding the USPS was e mailed to me. Sadly the staffer I spoke to in your DC office was not even aware of the issue about the USPS and mail-in ballots. I would like a response to my original e mail.
THIS has been stated before on this blog but needs to be repeated because the "christian" nationalist cabal with the corrupt fascist drumpf/trump-vance administration and the gop / greed over people-republican party continue to pervert Christianity in their propaganda campaign to destroy our democratic Republic and replace it with the neo-nazi fascist heritage foundation's 2025 plan to establish a authoritarian theocratic oligarchy. My social media channels were flooded with the words of the prophet Isaiah last week. That’s hardly unusual. I am a pastor and the algorithms feed me a steady stream of sermons, articles and even memes based on scripture. The verse I kept seeing, Isaiah 6:8, also happens to be one of my favorites. The prophet is telling the story of his commissioning or call to ministry. He has an ecstatic vision of God seated on the heavenly throne, surrounded by flying seraphim singing “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord.” Isaiah is filled with dread and confesses, “Woe is me! I am a man of unclean lips and I live among a people of unclean lips.” The Lord cleanses the prophet’s mouth with a live coal and then he hears God say, “Whom shall I send, who will go for us?” and Isaiah replies, “Here I am, Lord. Send me.”
Like a lot of Christians, this passage resonates deeply with me. I’ve never had a vision like Isaiah’s, but I have heard the Lord “calling in the night,” as the old hymn goes. I have, with fear and trembling, prayed those words, “Here I am, Lord. Send me.” Whenever I hear them, I remember my decision to follow Jesus, who quoted Isaiah at the beginning of his public ministry, saying, “He has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor, he has sent me to proclaim freedom to the prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, to set the prisoners free and to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” Usually I love to hear Isaiah 6:8. It speaks to what is most sacred in my life.
But I was disgusted when I heard those words last week in the Department of Homeland Security’s new recruitment video. The ad opens with marine helicopters traveling down a runway at dusk, preparing for take off on a mission. A genial male voice with a slight southern accent says, “There’s a Bible verse I think about sometimes, many times.” Now the camera cuts to the inside of a helicopter, the light grows dimmer but we can make out DHS secretary Kristy Noam surrounded by agents in body armor. The narrator intones Isaiah 6:8, “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Who shall I send? And who will go for us?” Ominous music swells up, but the voices aren’t singing “Holy, holy, holy,” they chant again and again, “You can run on for a long time, sooner or later God’s gonna cut you down.”
Then a rapid montage of shots: agents chasing people in boats, a Customs and Border Patrol patch on a uniform, armored vehicles, rugged terrain surveilled through night vision goggles and the brightest light–the gleam of plastic zip tie handcuffs in an agent’s belt. In choosing to use Isaiah 6:8, the video suggests that the Trump administration’s mission to capture a daily quota of undocumented immigrants, deny them due process and imprison them in “Gator Gulags” is God’s mission. God didn’t send the prophet Isaiah to hunt down the poor and vulnerable. In fact, in chapter 16, God puts these words in the mouth of the prophet; “Hide the fugitives, do not betray the refugees, let the fugitives stay with you; be their shelter from the destroyer.” God sends the prophet Isaiah on a dangerous mission to speak judgement against the powerful, announcing “Woe to you who add house to house and join field to field til there is no space left and you live alone in the land. Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine and champions at mixing drinks, who acquit the guilty for a bribe, but deny justice to the innocent.”
Department of Homeland Security and Customs and Border Patrol agents are sent by the federal government, not the sovereign Lord. To suggest otherwise is the textbook definition of blasphemy. This is an official ad from the Department of homeland security to recruit for Customs and Border Patrol. I know that CBP does occasionally deal with dangerous drug traffickers, but according to CPB’s own data, only .5% of their encounters are with people who have violent criminal convictions, the rest are overwhelmingly families and children crossing to seek asylum or migrants looking for work. Framing CBP as waging a holy war against terrorists needing to be “cut down” (according to the song being played in the background) is incredibly dangerous. With Trump’s big beautiful bill passing, ICE and border patrol have been given a multi-billion dollar staffing boost. If videos like this are any indication, they will be attempting to recruit trigger-happy Christian nationalists, looking to go to war on mostly peaceful immigrants. The people crossing the Southern boarder are by and large not dangerous criminals, they are our neighbors, and this framing will only put more lives at risk.
I offer a lot of links on the dangers and threats of "christian" nationalism as well as tactics to defeat "christian" nationalism, the scourge of the faith. "christian" nationalism is apostasy of Christianity, "christian" nationalist leaders and organizations are the the 'wolves in sheeps clothing', false prophets and teachers the Church has been warned about. Compare them to Jesus' Beatitudes & His Sermon on the Mount. These unhappy, angry fascist want to live in an authoritarian theocratic oligarchy like Afghanistan or Saudi Arabia, same religious apostasy just applied to a different faith. We can not allow them to force their dark hypocritical version of Christianity on the rest of us. Christians know peace is so central to Jesus' ministry that it takes a willful misconstrual of His message to imagine a Christianity that is compatible with violence of any kind, let alone imperialism and war. “The Statement on Christian Nationalism” seeks to implement a Scripture-based system of government whereby Christ-ordained “civil magistrates” exercise authority over the American public.
Approximately 100 right-wing organizations have signed onto Project 2025, an expansive plan for controlling (and in some cases dismantling) federal agencies in the event that Trump or another Republican wins the presidential election this year. Many of these organizations are led by Christian fundamentalist political operatives, suggesting that they may use the plan to force all Americans to submit to their extreme religious beliefs.
The Bucks CountyBeacon has just found explosive new evidence that seems to validate this concern.
The Beacon’s discovery follows an earlier report by Politico journalist Heidi Przybyla, which tied the Center for Renewing America (CFRA), an official Project 2025 partner, to an internal memo expressly listing “Christian Nationalism” as a priority for a second Trump term.
Przybyla further reported that CFRA founder Russ Vought, a Project 2025 co-author, had stated last year on X (formerly Twitter) that he’s “proud” to work with William Wolfe, a former Trump official and Visiting Fellow with CFRA, “on scoping out a sound Christian Nationalism.” In a social media post, Wolfe had called for an end to no-fault divorce and abortion and for reduced access to contraception. (Link to archived tweet.) Wolfe, who has attended Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, has also called himself a “Christian Nationalist.”
Meanwhile, Vought and other Project 2025 leaders have tried to mitigate the damage from Politico’s report not by rebuking Wolfe, but rather by attacking Przybyla. After Przybyla correctly stated in a TV interview that Christian Nationalists believe their rights come from God, they accused her of attacking mainstream Christianity and launched a blizzard of targeted media hit pieces, as well as a petition to demand that Politico publish a formal apology. They have also parked mobile billboards outside Politico’s DC headquarters, again demanding a formal apology.
Despite this hurricane of attempted deflection, the Christian Nationalism promoted by Wolfe is extreme, not mainstream, as evidenced not only by Przybyla’s excellent article, but also by a shocking online manifesto found by the Beacon, which identifies Wolfe as an editor. We have included screenshots of the complete manifesto in the Appendix to this article. We have also archived the manifesto (which calls itself a “draft”) here.
The manifesto’s authors include Oklahoma Senator Dusty Deevers (a Southern Baptist who supports charging women who get abortions with murder). In addition to Wolfe, its editors include Joel Webbon who has tweeted that the the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote, was a “bad idea.”
The manifesto, titled “The Statement on Christian Nationalism”, begins with a definition of “Christian Nationalism” that strives to implement a Scripture-based system of government whereby Christ-ordained “civil magistrates” exercise authority over the American public.
Specifically, it states that “Christian Nationalism is a set of governing principles rooted in Scripture’s teaching that Christ rules as supreme Lord and King of all creation, who has ordainedcivil magistrates with delegated authority to be under Him, over the people, to order their ordained jurisdiction by punishing evil and promoting good for His own glory and the common good of the nation.”
The manifesto then states that, pursuant to Scripture, these “civil magistrates” have “lawful authority to punish civil crimes like assault, murder, rape, theft, fraud, man-stealing, and false witness, and to ensure proper due process through the civil courts, payment of liability for verifiably proven harm, and proportionality of punishment.” (Emphasis added.)
This idea of forcing the American public to submit to the authority of Christian “civil magistrates” isn’t new. It was also championed by Christian extremist Stephen Wolfe (@Perfinjust on “X”) in his book, “The Case for Christian Nationalism,” an infamous screed, which William Wolfe enthusiastically promoted in a tweet that he later deleted. The two men are not apparently related, despite having the same last names and a shared ideology.
Continuing down this same Christian Nationalist trajectory, William Wolfe’s manifesto purports to “affirm that the Church is to instruct civil authorities regarding their identity and duties as servants before the throne of Christ. We affirm that this duty is a Great Commission issue.” (Emphasis added.)
Under the heading, “Big Picture,” the manifesto claims to “affirm that this Christian Nationalist project entails national recognition of essential Christian Orthodoxy (Article II) as a Christian consensus under Jesus Christ, the supreme Lord and King of all creation, and the establishment of the general equity of the Ten Commandmentsas the foundational law of the nation.” (Emphasis added.)
The manifesto also claims to affirm that, “All truth, claims and ethical standards must be tested by God’s final Word, which is Scripture alone.” (Emphasis added.)
In addition, the manifesto purports to “deny that laws against public blasphemy coerce conversion or hinder religious liberty in private.”
And it promotes a literal interpretation of the Bible: “We affirm that the Bible is clear in all essential matters.” (Public stoning anyone?)
The manifesto denies that “civil authorities have the right to coerce or command obedience to the dictates of men apart from God’s Word.” (Emphasis added.)
The manifesto further denies “the authority of rulers to squelch civil disobedience if [in the authors’ opinion] the free and necessary worship of and obedience to the True One God is being hindered.” (Sounds like January 6.)
Similarly, the manifesto claims to “affirm that lesser magistrates may and sometimes must disobey a lawless higher magistrate to obey God. For example, lesser magistrates–such as State governments, counties, and municipalities–must disregard any order, statute, or ruling from a higher magistrate–such as the Federal government–instructing them to allow abortion.”
It also strives to invalidate public education: “We deny that civil authorities are tasked with being the caretakers of citizens or educators of children, as these duties belong primarily to the Church and to families, respectively.”
At the same time, the manifesto aims to “affirm” that Christians are entitled to beat their children into submission: “We affirm that parents, as the authority in the home, have been given the ‘rod’ for instruction, training, and discipline in wisdom and righteousness.” (So now we know what they mean by “parental rights.”)
In addition to opposing same-sex marriage and classifying abortion as “homicide,” the manifesto declares that life begins “from the moment of fertilization, which is conception,” a position that renders IVF unfeasible, as we recently saw in Alabama.
Project 2025 organizations cannot legitimately characterize this terrifying manifesto as representative of mainstream Christianity. Even pastor Josh Buice of G3 Ministries, a Christian fundamentalist extremist in his own right, has condemned “this idea that there’s this overlap at some level with the civil magistrate with regard to the church,” stating that the question then becomes “who gets to determine what version of Christianity is Christianity?” (Video at 15:46 -16:50.)
Buice has also expressed concern that “the form of Christian Nationalism that is being put forth in the public sphere” could “necessitate some sort of Revolution,” adding that, “I’m not saying that … my brothers … are trying to … overthrow the nation, but … we do have a constitution,” and “what does this Christian Nationalism project do with the First Amendment?” (Video at 21:14-22:53.)
William Wolfe, however, seems primed for the fight. In a video posted by Right Wing Watch last year, he declared that “We are getting close” to Christians taking up arms.

The Family Research Council (FRC) — one of the leading Project 2025 partners attacking Przybyla — is similarly militant. Its Executive Vice President, retired Lieutenant General Jerry Boykin, has said that, when Jesus returns, he’ll be carrying an assault rifle. Boykin sits on the board of the Oak Initiative, a nonprofit founded by Rick Joyner who publicly expressed support for a military coup against Obama. Boykin also presided over the first “commissioning” of the “Black Robe Regiment of Virginia” (aka “America’s Black Robe Regiment”), a militant pastors group whose founder, Pastor William Cooke, sported an Oath Keepers shirt during the December 2020 Jericho March contesting Trump’s election loss.
FRC’s board chairman, former Representative Michelle Bachmann, is a protege of New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) leader Jim Garlow, a proponent of the “Seven Mountains Mandate,” which instructs Christians to conquer all aspects of our government and culture for God, as we previously reported.
FRC’s plans for our government and culture are themselves extreme. The organization has tweeted, for example, that “Abortion is never medically necessary to save the life of a mother.” And its president, Tony Perkins, has said that the push for LGBTQ+ rights is “the zenith of man’s rebellion against God” and that the people who fight for such rights are controlled by “demonic spirits,” as reported by Right Wing Watch.
Perkins, who met with Trump regularly before Trump’s 2020 election loss, has also encouraged his followers to treat public schools as a “mission field” and to infiltrate them as teachers and school board members.
In 2020, Perkins interviewed Christ Church pastor Doug Wilson (founder of the “Association of Classical Christian Schools”) who has said that men “conquer” and women “surrender” and that “supporting same-sex marriage” is a “far more serious problem” than “supporting slavery.” Wilson and his wife, Nancy, have boasted on video of delivering a protracted spanking to their son (who was a toddler at the time) for refusing to take a nap. In the video, Nancy giggles as she recalls “swatting” her tiny son up to 30 times.
Tellingly, it was Doug Wilson’s family publishing company, Canon Press, that published “The Case for Christian Nationalism” by Stephen Wolfe. It is thus unsurprising that, in addition to his interview with Perkins, Wilson spoke during a recent conference hosted by Joel Webbon, a co-editor of the Christian Nationalism manifesto edited by William Wolfe (a fan of Stephen Wolfe’s book).
Doug Wilson was also featured during a September 2023 conference hosted by American Moment, another Project 2025 partner. The event also included Project 2025 co-author Russ Vought, the former Trump official (and founder of the Center for Renewing America) who tweeted that he was proud to work with William Wolfe in “scoping out a sound Christian Nationalism.”
American Moment has separately interviewed both William Wolfe and Stephen Wolfe and co-hosted an event in January 2022 where participants enjoyed “plotting the Protestant regime,” according to a tweet by American Reformer author Timon Cline who attended the gathering. William Wolfe and Joshua Abbotoy (Executive Director of American Reformer and a Fellow at the Claremont Institute, another Project 2025 partner) also attended, according to Cline’s tweet. As for Perkins, he has acknowledged (based on a study by Christian pollster George Barna) that FRC’s “biblical worldview” is so far out of the mainstream that only nine percent of Christians possess it. (Video at 28:40-47). Lack of support won’t matter, however, if Project 2025 puts these zealots in control of the federal government, which seems likely if Trump wins the next presidential election.
