INSTEAD of investing in renewable energy like wind and solar, instead of investing in upgrading our antiquated power grid to efficiently distribute this power from the generation site to consumers, our government has granted permission for the big, federal tax exempt oil and gas companies permission to start exploration along our East Coast. Notice I say our East Coast, it doesn't belong to exxon mobile, gulf, texaco, chevron, bp, sunoco, valero or any of the other greedy fossil fuel companies that control our government with their hundreds of millions in legalized bribes know as campaign contributions. The +NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council) is mounting opposition to this fossil fuel exploration citing the harm it will do to tens of thousands of marine mammals and the negative economic impact it will have on fishing towns and villages.
