Bills having a special halftime ceremony. for the stadium
WHAT an amazing game!!! The Jets were the first team the Bills played and beat in Ralph Wilson / Rich / Highmark Stadium in 1973 and the Jets were the last team the Bills played in Highmark Stadium and they beat them this time to!!! I am going to miss that stadium, have a lot of very good memories with family and friends there, concerts and Bills games, good times, happy times, even when the Bills didn't win because the team and the fans always made the experience so cool! Two best memories, seeing the Stones, Journey and George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers at Rich Stadium with two friends I am still friends with. I think tickets were $17.00, general admission and because there was no on line ordering back then we go up at 0400 and drove from Scandia, PA to Buffalo and sat outside the ticket office downtown till they opened to get tickets. And after the concert we stopped at a bar in Amherst (I think) where Wendy O'Williams and the Plasmatics were supposed to play just in time for the town officials to shut the concert down....My favorite Bills game experience was when I was able to get tickets for the Bills-Dolphins game in December. Yes there was lots of snow but the game day was beautiful and I was there with my mom and dad (life long Bills fans but had never been to a game), my younger sister Jennie, brother-in-law Ted and their son Alex (I think he was 5 or 6). We were way up in the stadium with a mix of Bills and Dolphins fans and it was all good fun from being up and dancing to 'Shout' before the game started to Alex being so totally excited about being there, and the Bills squished the fish to boot!!! Thank you Ralph Wilson Stadium / Rich Stadium / Highmark Stadium and Buffalo Bills teams and fans!!! Two things I am sure of whenever I die, I will die a Christian and a Buffalo Bills fan!!!
