AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A Waynesboro man is in custody after Burke County Sheriff’s Office deputies charged him with four counts of child molestation and three counts of aggravated child molestation.
Robert Raymond Tilley, 58, of Waynesboro, was arrested June 23 by the Burke County Sheriff’s Office.
Bond was denied, according to inmate bookings.
What deputies say happened
According to the incident report, deputies responded on June 13 in reference to a sexual assault.
The victim told deputies that Tilley had touched her inappropriately more than 20 times over the previous three years.
The alleged incidents span from October 2023 to April 2026, the report states.
