 Loans that change lives
You recently made a loan to Gregory, and as of today $2,700 of this $5,450 loan has been funded. If this loan does not receive $2,750 more in the next two days, it will expire.
What can you do?
  • Tell your friends! Share the loan via email, Facebook, or Twitter
  • Lend more! If you want to ensure that this loan is fully funded, you can lend more yourself.

Kiva wants to promote an open marketplace, where lenders are making decisions about what loans get funded, so we have a set timeframe that loans can fundraise on our site (typically 30 days).
If a loan is not fully funded within this period, the loan request automatically expires, and the Field Partner can consider the characteristics of the loan that resulted in a lack of support from Kiva lenders.
Often, loan expiration does not affect borrowers, as many of our Field Partners choose to disburse loans to borrowers before they are fully funded on Kiva so that borrowers don't have to wait for lenders' funds before they start working on their businesses. Expirations can negatively affect Field Partners, since they count on the funding from Kiva lenders to offset their pre-disbursement to borrowers.
If a loan request expires, the funds you loaned will be returned to your Kiva account and you can choose to lend them to another borrower.
For more information about loan expirations, please email us at contactus@kiva.org.
Best wishes,
The Kiva Team

MY LATEST LOAN REPAYMENTS AND NEW LOAN THROUGH KIVA 15MAR13

HERE is my latest loan through Kiva, and if you click this link http://www.kiva.org/invitedby/craig8627/for/537430 you will receive $25 from a Kiva backer to loan (at no expense to you!) and I will also receive $25 to loan. Hope you will check it out. I have also included the update on other loans I have made through Kiva. NOTE, I used my repayments (Kiva Credit) to make my latest loan.

Dusan
Dusan, 21 and single, lives in a minority community. For more than two years, he has been running his own construction business. He is very ambitious and a hard-working man. He started his business with a group of his friends. At the beginning they had little demand and now they have managed to expand the business. They build new houses and do house renovations, depending on the customers' needs. Dusan said this business is very productive and he earns lot of money.

Dusan is requesting a loan in order to buy new tools and construction materials. The loan will help him to expand his business. His goal is to expand his business further and to increase the number of workers. He thanks all Kiva lenders!
