KIVA LOANS TO GREGORY AND GARY, PLEASE HELP!!!! 9JUN13

I have been making loans (48 loans so far) around the world through KIVA for about three years now. This is the first time I have received a notice like this concerning a loan to an entrepreneur in my Kiva portfolio. Both of these loans are to people right here in the U.S. (YES, Kiva does microfinancing here too!) Both these loan request are about to expire, so please, click the link to one or both and contribute if you can.......

 Loans that change lives
You recently made a loan to Gregory, and as of today $2,700 of this $5,450 loan has been funded. If this loan does not receive $2,750 more in the next two days, it will expire.

Kiva wants to promote an open marketplace, where lenders are making decisions about what loans get funded, so we have a set timeframe that loans can fundraise on our site (typically 30 days).
If a loan is not fully funded within this period, the loan request automatically expires, and the Field Partner can consider the characteristics of the loan that resulted in a lack of support from Kiva lenders.
Often, loan expiration does not affect borrowers, as many of our Field Partners choose to disburse loans to borrowers before they are fully funded on Kiva so that borrowers don't have to wait for lenders' funds before they start working on their businesses. Expirations can negatively affect Field Partners, since they count on the funding from Kiva lenders to offset their pre-disbursement to borrowers.
If a loan request expires, the funds you loaned will be returned to your Kiva account and you can choose to lend them to another borrower.
For more information about loan expirations, please email us at contactus@kiva.org.
Best wishes,
The Kiva Team
