Playing For Change honors the timeless legacy of The Doors with “Riders on the Storm” Song Around The World, a powerful global collaboration featuring original members John Densmore and Robby Krieger, a tribute to Ray Manzarek, and the legendary vocals of Jim Morrison. Joined by over 20 musicians and dancers from eight different countries, this powerful performance is in celebration of The Doors 60th Anniversary, and it reimagines a classic anthem through the lens of unity, hope, and musical connection that knows no boundaries.
From the first beat of the Lakota Drum Group, grounding the song in ancestral rhythm, to magnetic performances by Lukas and Micah Nelson, Sierra Ferrell, Don Was and Rami Jaffee of the Foo Fighters, every note reminds us that music is a universal language that serves as a bridge to unite a global community. In a time when the world may feel divided, this Song Around The World stands as a testament to the power of music to heal, connect, and bring us together.
This monumental song also marks a full-circle moment as it will help support the first Playing For Change Foundation music program established in America, in partnership with the Indigenous-led non-profit First Peoples Fund, uplifting Indigenous communities and ensuring that the rhythms, stories, and voices that began this journey continue to inspire hearts around the world.

FROM Playing For Change on a day we need to be reminded "We invite you to join us as we travel to Haiti for a Live Outside performance of the song "Haiti Oh," featuring Haitian musician Jean-Francois Gay. Let this music lift you up and show that no matter how many reasons life gives you to cry, there are a thousand more reasons to smile."
We started this recording on a back porch in East Los Angeles with members of Los Lobos, and then returned to the roots of the song in Veracruz, Mexico. As we traveled, musicians everywhere mixed the traditional and rock 'n' roll styles of "La Bamba" into a new Song Around The World.
We invite you to watch and enjoy another Song Around The World from our new album: "Guantanamera". We started the song with Carlos Varela in Havana and it features over 75 Cuban musicians around the world, from Havana and Santiago to Miami, Barcelona and Tokyo. We recorded and produced this track with Jackson Browne, who explains that "traveling with Playing For Change across Cuba was one of the most rewarding and inspiring musical experiences of my life."

Weʻre excited to present our 2nd ʻSong Across Hawaiʻiʻ collaboration with Hawaiian nonprofit @Mana Maoli, filmed across many breathtaking Hawaii locations as part of their #ManaMele project, which features a Music & Multimedia Academy and Solar Mobile Studio with programs in more than a dozen schools.
