This is our last formal opportunity to urge the Obama administration stop the massive Keystone XL tar sands pipeline. A 1,700 mile-long tar sands oil pipeline—cutting across six states and passing through a variety of environmentally-sensitive areas—will pose serious risks to our environment and our communities. And the extraction and transportation process associated with dirty tar sands oil would produce more global warming pollution than traditional oil. But time is running out, so we need to show the Obama administration how many of us oppose building a massive oil pipeline through the heart of our country. WHAT: Keystone XL Public Hearing
WHERE: Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, Atrium Hall, 1300 Pennsylvania Ave
WHEN: Friday, October 7th, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
RSVP: http://www.lcv.org/keystonexl This is our last formal opportunity to express our opposition to the Keystone XL oil pipeline. The State Department will be making their final decision on the pipeline soon, so they need to hear from us now. Be sure to RSVP, then encourage your friends and family in the area to RSVP as well—the more voices we have speaking out against the dangerous tar sands pipeline, the better chance we have to stop it. Thank you, Gene Karpinski
President
