The U.S. House has already passed the No Rogue Rulings Act ( in spite of an active campaign to defeat it there ), we must stop it from passing in the U.S. Senate. The battle between Trump and the courts could tilt the scales between democracy and authoritarianism. As Trump wages all-out war on judges and defies court orders, we can’t let the GOP hand Trump any more advantages.
That’s why the Senate must stop the extreme No Rogue Rulings Act. This legislation would prevent district judges from issuing nationwide injunctions1 that halt some of Trump’s illegal policies before they can wreak the full havoc this administration intends.
The Senate must preserve the power of the judiciary and reject this legislation, or Trump will expand his unchecked powers and execute more of his horrifying agenda.
As Trump continues his attacks on immigrants and political enemies like Harvard, judges are using their constitutional powers to stop the White House from breaking the law.2
