The Way Donald Trump's Kennedy Website Got "Hijacked" Is Hilarious
Can't wait for the 2026 updates!

Toby Morton has written for TV shows like Mad TV and South Park.

Though, in my opinion, his most iconic role was playing Cartman's half-brother, Scott Tenorman, in what, in my opinion, is one of the all-time greatest South Park episodes: "Scott Tenorman Must Die."

So, he's got a new project.

As you all know, Trump is hard at work adding marble armrests and tacking his name onto the Kennedy Center.

The original website for the Kennedy Center is kennedycenter.org, but Morton instinctively bought "trumpkennedycenter.org" way before he made it into his own.

Morton told the Washington Post, "As soon as Trump began gutting the Kennedy Center board earlier this year, I thought, 'Yep, that name’s going on the building.'" So, he bought the domain.
He continued, "The Kennedy Center has always been a cultural institution meant to outlast any one administration or personality. It's meant to honor culture, not ego. Once it was treated like personal branding, satire became unavoidable."
Since then, the website has launched!

Here's the logo:

The "next events" section welcomes the "Epstein Dancers" to the Center:

And "coming Jan 2026," they say, "TrumpKennedyCenter.org enters a new era of devotion, unity, and inherited authority."

I guess we have lots to look forward to then!

Kerry Kennedy has thanked a South Park star for buying a domain name as President Donald Trump added his name to the John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts.
Toby Morton, who wrote on the show and voiced the character Scott Tenorman, bought the domain names trumpkennedycenter dot org and dot com on August 12—before it was revealed that Trump's name would be added to the Kennedy Center.
Now, the board of the center has announced that it will be known as The Donald Trump and The John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts, and the lettering on the building has changed accordingly.
Morton has soft-launched the parody dot org website, with the full launch coming in January, and promised on his Threads account @wordclown that there was "more to come. Much more."
On December 28, Morton revealed that he had received a message from Kennedy, who is the daughter of Robert F. Kennedy and Ethel Kennedy, sister of Robert Kennedy Jr, and niece of former President John F. Kennedy.
She wrote: "I run the Robert and Ethel Kennedy Human Rights Center. We currently have over 27th lawsuits against the Trump administration (sic).
"Part of our mandate is to protect my father's reputation and enhance his vision of a just and peaceful world. can't tell you how thrilled that [I] was when I read that you had purchased the Trump Kennedy Center domain name. There are many forms back to this system, and yours is unique and impactful. I just want to express my gratitude."
Morton shared a screenshot of the message to Threads, where he wrote: "I'm speechless and incredibly grateful. Thank you @kerrykennedyrfk."
The Trump-appointed board announced in December that the John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts would be getting a new name, and Morton told The Washington Post that he predicted the name change when Trump "began gutting the Kennedy Center board earlier this year."
He bought the domain names after correctly predicting "Yep, that name's going on the building," and said his plans for the websites are to "reflect the absurdity of the moment."
On December 18, Kerry Kennedy reacted to the news of the renaming of the center by writing on Threads: "President Trump and his administration have spent the past year repressing free expression, targeting artists, journalists, and comedians, and erasing the history of Americans whose contributions made our nation better and more just.
"President Kennedy proudly stood for justice, peace, equality, dignity, diversity, and compassion for those who suffer. President Trump stands in opposition to these values, and his name should not be placed alongside President Kennedy's."
She later shared an image of the new wording on the building featuring Trump's name, and said: "Three years and one month from today, I’m going to grab a pickax and pull those letters off that building, but I’m going to need help holding the ladder. Are you in? Applying for my carpenter’s card today, so it’ll be a union job!"
Following the vote to rename the institution, lawmakers have introduced legislation in an attempt to overturn the change and prevent similar acts in the future.
Independent Senator Bernie Sanders announced he would be introducing legislation "prohibiting the naming of federal buildings after sitting presidents," while Democrat Congresswoman April McClain also introduced the Kennedy Center Protection Act, which would void the board's vote and mandate the removal of his name.
Trump himself said that he was "honored" by the vote.
"We saved the building because it was in such bad shape, physically, financially, and in every other way, and now it’s very solid, very strong," he said, according to CNN.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt wrote on X: "Congratulations to President Donald J. Trump, and likewise, congratulations to President Kennedy, because this will be a truly great team long into the future. The building will no doubt attain new levels of success and grandeur."
Newsweek has contacted Toby Morton, Kerry Kennedy and the White House for comment on this story.
