Here is Trump’s blueprint to rig the 2026 midterms 8SEP26

I AM NOT AN ALARMIST. The neo-nazi fascist drumpf/trump-vance administration with the gop / greed over people-republican party, scotus, the fascist heritage foundation and right wing "religious" extremist are and have been opposed to our democratic Republic and want to replace it with an authoritarian theocratic oligarchy. If enough of us, the loyal opposition, turn out and vote in every precinct, community, and state we can save America. Remember, ELECTION DAY IS TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3RD, 2026! DEMOCRACY IS NOT A SPECTATOR SPORT! We need to make sure everyone who really loves our country votes. Remember to confirm you are registered to vote and your voting location information at Rock The Vote by Wednesday, 28 October 2026. You can also register to vote through Rock The Vote, check with them as soon as possible for the last date to register to vote in your state. NOTE-as long as you are in line to vote when the polls in your state close you will be able to vote and your vote will count! This from Democracy Docket.....

We are less than two months until Election Day for the most important midterms of our lifetime. Ballots have already started to be sent out. The threats to free and fair elections are real and growing more serious by the day.

What once seemed like an abstract threat has now become concrete. The risk of a rigged election is no longer unthinkable. The need for action can no longer be delayed or denied.

I have often said that Donald Trump’s plan is to make it harder for you to vote and easier for him to cheat. Now we know what that will look like in 2026.

Donald Trump issued an executive order claiming powers over federal elections that he does not have. In response, the U.S. Postal Service is trying to ram through a rule that will make voting by mail more difficult while requiring states to turn over sensitive voter data.

The Postal Service has not been shy in making clear that it is taking these steps to allow federal law enforcement to conduct criminal investigations of alleged voter fraud.

That is not all the USPS has done to make voting more difficult. A series of smaller changes have resulted in slower mail service and delayed postmarks on envelopes. While these are not limited to returned ballots, the results have been devastating for those trying to vote by mail.

Meanwhile, the Department of Justice continues to sue for access to states’ complete voter files, while the head of its Civil Rights Division is threatening to deploy 1,000 federal agents to “monitor” polling places in the midterm elections.

The Department of Homeland Security is readying so-called state citizenship lists to send to states, a thinly veiled threat to state officials to purge voters… or else. And things are escalating quickly. Now word has come that the DHS will launch a massive witch hunt to investigate evidence of nonexistent, widespread voter fraud.

The weaponization of government against Trump’s political enemies is in full swing and out in the open. Under Trump’s direction, the DOJ will now target state election officials under the guise that they have permitted illegal voting.

Republicans and their allies are litigating to make voting more difficult and election subversion easier. Recently, the Republican National Committee joined the Trump administration in asking the Supreme Court to gut a federal law that limits last-minute voter purges.

Election offices, which in the past served to protect the integrity of elections from attacks by bad actors, are now being overrun and infiltrated by election deniers trying to sow doubt from the inside.

Individually, each of these developments is troubling. Collectively, they paint a damning picture of an authoritarian president trying to rig the vote before it happens. This government-sponsored voter suppression is on a scale we have not seen in our nation’s history.

While nearly all of what I describe above is undisputed fact, it has been normalized by a legacy media intent on not taking sides. That must end now.

In the past, some have called me an alarmist. Critics have accused me of being too aggressive in fighting back. They suggest I find more room for compromise and seek bipartisan solutions.

There is no virtue in turning a blind eye to voter suppression to meet Republicans halfway. There is no vice in remaining firm against election subversion, even if it requires standing alone.

It is not spreading conspiracy theories to draw the obvious connections between the individual efforts of this administration and their GOP allies to obstruct free and fair elections.

Donald Trump is the unquestioned originator and leader of the election denier movement. But he is not its only adherent.

The plan to subvert the midterm elections may have originated in the White House,  but it is being carried out by dozens of federal agencies, outside groups, and Republican officials.

Defeating it in the short time remaining will require a similarly focused effort by the pro-democracy community. That means recognizing the strengths that we all bring to this fight.

As Election Day nears, Democratic candidates and parties will necessarily step to the forefront in the courtrooms. As I often point out, it is no coincidence that the 2000 election was decided in a case captioned Bush v. Gore. Nor was it by chance that I represented Joe Biden and the Democratic Party in more than 60 cases in the 2020 post-election litigation.

The role of candidates in litigation has become more important. The Supreme Court recently granted them unique standing to challenge nearly all election rules and laws. According to the Chief Justice John Roberts, unlike other potential parties to litigation, “candidates suffer when the process departs from the law.”

That does not mean there is not an important role for other pro-democracy organizations to play in the courtroom and out. On the contrary, providing nonpartisan information to voters, organizing direct action and supporting election officials who do the right thing are vital to our system of elections.

The most important work, however, belongs to the citizens of this country. Each of us must make sure we understand the rules for registering to vote and casting a ballot. We must share that information with those in our circles of trust.

We must also call out the efforts to suppress the vote for what they are — an assault on democracy. We must insist that our election officials, regardless of party, stand up against those barriers. And, after the ballots are cast, we must remain engaged until the accurate results are certified and the rightful winners take their seats.

The next few months will be long and hard. But democracy is worth the fight.

Trump's plan to destroy protected forests & Trump wants to sell off Yosemite to a real estate developer 29AUG&1SEP26

NOT MY pres drumpf/trump continues his service to the billionaires and mega millionaires who have bought him and his no class brood allowing them to blatantly rape and pillage the natural resources and treasury of our democratic Republic. The grossly corrupt drumpf/trump-vance administration with the gop / grifting our public lands-republican party is pushing to hand off our beautiful National Parks, our protected forest and prairies and waterways and the wildlife in them to their corporate owners before they lose the power to do so after the 2026 Midterm elections. Please sign both these petitions from Demand Progress telling congress to stop the rollback of federal forest protections and to stop the sale of any part of Yosemite and Yellowstone and the rest of our public lands to private real estate developers, investment firms and logging, mining and oil and gas corporations. And take the time to e mail your representative and senators telling them the same. My e mails are at the end of this post.....

TELL Congress: Trump advanced a plan to open 45 million acres of protected forests near Yellowstone and other national parks for logging and development. That means corporations would destroy forests, harm wildlife, and threaten water sources, but there's still time to stop this. Sign the petition: Stop Trump’s rollback of federal forest protections!

Trump is moving ahead a plan to roll back federal protections for national forests that surround Yellowstone National Park and many other cherished parks.1,2

Trump's Secretary of Agriculture, Brooke Rollins, said, "Our forests can't afford another decade of inaction."3 But the action that Trump and Rollins are advancing will hand over America's forests to corporate loggers and developers.

This decision poses a direct threat to biodiversity, wildlife, clean water, and the environment writ-large, and could level forests around Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Yosemite, and other national parks.4 There's still time for our leaders to stop Trump's environmental destruction.

Sign the petition: Block Trump's plan to open up national forests for corporate development!

The Trump administration is preparing to fully rescind the "Roadless Rule," a federal regulation that has protected tens of millions of acres of national forests for over two decades.5

"The Trump administration is at it again, selling out our public lands to corporate polluters, ignoring the overwhelming objections of the American people," said Rep. Jared Huffman, the lead Democrat on the House Natural Resources Committee.6

Congress must act now to protect national forests from destruction at the hands of corporate profiteers and the White House.

Sign the petition: Don't let Trump roll back regulations that protect the forests surrounding Yellowstone and Yosemite!

Thanks for taking action,

TELL Congress: Trump is pressuring the National Park Service to SELL part of Yosemite to a corporate real estate developer. It's a disgrace, and a serious threat to one of America's natural treasures. Sign the petition: Don't let Trump sell part of Yosemite National Park!

Trump is trying to sell off part of Yosemite National Park to a private real estate developer and investment firm.1

Trump's Interior Department is pushing this deal hard. "The political pressure being brought to bear is very unusual," said one source.2

Trump is running roughshod over the country, willing to give away part of one of America's most beloved national parks to pull off a business deal. It would serve the country's oligarch profiteers, not the people. Congress must speak out and ensure Trump doesn't push through this devastating sale.

Sign the petition: Block Trump from selling off Yosemite for corporate development!

"Yosemite is not Donald Trump's to give away. This secretive deal betrays the purpose of our national parks and the promise our government has kept since Abraham Lincoln to protect Yosemite for the public and for generations to come," said the Sierra Club.3

Reporting on this proposal comes just days after the Trump administration moved ahead a plan to roll back federal protections for national forests that surround Yellowstone National Park and other cherished parks.4,5

Trump poses a unique threat to America's parks, environment, clean water, wildlife, and biodiversity. Congress must act quickly to thwart the White House's moves to hand America over to developers, loggers, and investment firms.

Sign the petition: Don't let Trump sell Yosemite, and America, to the highest bidder.

Thanks for taking action,

Joey and the team at Demand Progress

FBI says Chinese hacking group targeted US government agencies for years 26AUG26

WHILE this has been going on for years NOT MY pres drumpf/trump has been most open about allowing China to violate American sovereignty and security as long as he and his no class trash family and associates profit from it. This report from ABC News states QTFY includes former members of the Chinese military, they should just say they are part of the Chinese military because in that brutal authoritarian country nobody has access to the equipment and systems and internet necessary for hacking operations without the involvement, approval and control of the Chinese military and government. Yet drumpf/trump will host Chinese pres ji sometime in September kow-towing and ass licking all to increase his ( drumpf's/trump's ) and his no class trash family's and associate's personal wealth. AND the drumpf/trump-vance administration with their cabinet, neo-nazi fascist fotze trunt Sec of Defense petie lola hegseth and the gop / greed over people-republican party have sacrificed American military personnel in the illegal immoral war on Iran by keeping Iranian oil flowing through the Straits of Hormuz to China. America's draft dodging c-i-c allows this treason in the name of greed and corruption.

FBI says Chinese hacking group targeted US government agencies for years

The Justice Department and FBI said a Chinese government-backed hacking group has for years engaged in targeted attacks against hundreds of entities in the United States including NASA, National Institutes of Health, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Justice Department, the Department of Energy, the U.S. Senate and the Federal Reserve.

According to a DOJ statement and an affidavit unsealed Wednesday in federal court in California, a group known as "QTFY" -- which includes former members of China's military -- has used its infrastructure to compromise critical infrastructure since 2018 in networks spanning from government agencies, hospitals, telecommunications providers, power companies and defense contractors.

As part of their efforts to expose and disrupt the group, prosecutors successfully seized three internet domains affiliated with the Chinese company, Nanjing Xinjiuwei Network Technology Company, and multiple advisories have been issued to companies and other federal agencies so that potential victims of the group can better protect themselves from future attack.

In the seizure warrant, prosecutors say that in September 2024, QTFY hackers "conducted computer intrusions" at three Energy Department laboratories, NIH, an HHS agency as well as an unnamed U.S. security device manufacturer. The group is further alleged to have attempted a hack against NASA in 2019, though court documents do not suggest that the effort was successful.

The court documents do not state clearly the scale of the attacks against several of the other government agencies identified as victims or the group's level of success in infiltrating specific networks.

"Today’s announcement demonstrates the Justice Department’s steadfast commitment to going on the offensive against cyber threats to the national security,” said Assistant Attorney General for National Security John Eisenberg in a statement announcing the seizures. "These court-authorized seizures deny PRC-linked hackers access to tools they use to mount online attacks against our Nation’s critical infrastructure."

The FBI and National Security Agency released an advisory with indicators of QTFY activity. Also, Lumen Technologies' threat intelligence group, Black Lotus Labs, published a description of QTFY’s tactics, techniques and procedures to help thwart future hacks.

While the U.S. says it has exposed and disrupted this major Chinese cyber-espionage campaign, China's cyber operations against the United States remain "relentless," said Javed Ali, a former senior director for counterterrorism at the National Security Council.

"China has been using cyber operations against the United States for probably 20 years through a relentless campaign of operations that have involved multiple targets, multiple attack methods, and nothing the U.S. has done to date seems to be deterring this activity because it is it has existed for so long and this goes over multiple administrations here in the United States," Ali told ABC News.

Whether China is attempting to hack into telecommunications companies, attempting to breach water systems or waging a broader campaign of trade secret theft, China's actions reveal a clear pattern, Ali said.

"[China] just uses different tools against different targets here in the United States, and they do not appear to be deterred, even when there are disruptions or people get indicted," Ali, now an associate professor at the University of Michigan Ford School of Public Policy, said. "None of this is stopping China's strategic efforts of targeting the U.S. with these cyber operations."

U.S. Signs Deal to Help Saudis Obtain Nuclear Power 22&23JUL26 & The Saudi Wahhabis are the real foe 16NOV15

Considering 15 of the 19 9/11 hijackers and osama bi laden were Saudis why should not America share nuclear technology with murderous crown prince mbs and his fanatical wahhabi islamic cult that produced them. What could possibly go wrong? And a blind person can see the saudis do not need nuclear power to meet their energy needs when their oil and gas run out. With the vast Empty Quarter of Saudi Arabia alone they have enough area for solar farms to meet their energy needs when combined with wind farms and solar farms in the vast empty sections of the Arabian Peninsula. The truth is mbs and his wahhabi islamic apostates want nuclear weapons, and NOT MY pres drumpf/trump and his corrupt administration are just the people stupid and greedy enough to help them get them. And while the article from Politico is 11 years old it is still spot on in describing the threat that is still very real from Saudi Arabia and wahhabi islam. This from the New York Times and Politico.....

U.S. Signs Deal to Help Saudis Obtain Nuclear Power

Published July 22, 2026Updated July 23, 2026

The Trump administration on Wednesday announced that it had officially signed a deal with Saudi Arabia that officials have said could help the country enrich its own fuel for nuclear reactors.

The Energy Department said that Chris Wright, the U.S. energy secretary, and Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, the Saudi energy minister, had signed a deal to cooperate on civilian nuclear power. The two officials also signed what the administration described as a bilateral agreement on nuclear safeguards.

“Rest assured, these agreements uphold the highest standards of nuclear safety and nonproliferation, while relying on the world’s best nuclear technology and scientists, designed right here in the United States,” Mr. Wright said. “Thanks to President Trump, the American nuclear renaissance is underway and will deliver long-term benefits to the American and Saudi people.”

The agreement will require review by Congress, which has the power to vote a resolution of disapproval. But as a practical matter, the agreement would likely pass, because Congress would have to assemble a veto-proof majority to override Mr. Trump’s initiative.

The accord is intended to further bind the United States with the Saudi government as the war with Iran strains the relationship. The Trump administration, according to officials, estimates it will provide billions of dollars for the U.S. nuclear industry — starting with Westinghouse, which designs many of the reactors sold abroad.

The Saudi government has been trying to seal such an agreement for more than five years, pushing against opposition from American officials and experts who have raised concerns that the Persian Gulf nation could use the technology to pursue a nuclear weapon, spurring a new Middle East arms race.

This type of nuclear deal, known as a 123 Agreement because it’s named for Section 123 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, is legally binding and typically lays out rules for the transfer and storage of nuclear materials, although the president can choose to exempt countries from specific requirements.

One notable feature of the deal is that, after a joint study with Saudi Arabia on the economics of producing nuclear fuel, the Saudis may be allowed to enrich uranium or reprocess plutonium on their soil, officials have said. That’s in contrast to a 2009 agreement with the United Arab Emirates, in which the U.A.E. agreed to forgo the right to produce its own fuel.

The accord has been under discussion for years, and during the Biden administration it was envisioned as part of a broader deal that would include Saudi diplomatic recognition of Israel. But after the Oct. 7, 2023, attacks on Israel by Hamas, that prospect receded. President Trump separated the proposal for U.S.-Saudi civilian nuclear cooperation from any demand that Saudi Arabia recognize Israel.

Saudi Arabia is rich in oil. Here’s why is it going nuclear.

The potential of a United States deal to allow a nuclear enrichment program in Saudi Arabia has stoked longtime fears of a nuclear arms race in the Middle East.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the kingdom’s de facto leader, has not ruled out the possibility of building nuclear weapons in the future — especially if Iran, Saudi Arabia’s neighbor and longtime adversary, does so.

The Trump administration announced on Wednesday afternoon that the deal had been signed, but on Thursday morning President Trump put its future in doubt. After U.S. and Israeli leaders criticized the deal, the president mentioned for the first time that the agreement would be conditioned on Saudi Arabia normalizing relations with Israel — which has a secretive nuclear program of its own.

The Saudi government has made clear it has no intention of recognizing Israel without creating a pathway toward the creation of a Palestinian state.

But Saudi Arabia’s interest in building a nuclear energy program goes back decades. And despite fears of nuclear proliferation in the region if the deal is salvaged, the kingdom may have some additional motivations for building a nuclear energy program that are unrelated to developing weapons.

Here are a few key reasons Saudi Arabia may want a civilian nuclear energy program.

To diversify its economy

In 2022, crude oil accounted for 40 percent of Saudi Arabia’s gross domestic product. The country’s leaders have long believed that the nation’s economic survival will depend on reducing reliance on fossil fuel exports.

Despite a wealth of natural resources, Saudi Arabia has recorded a budget deficit in all but one of the past 10 years. And it has expensive ambitions, including sci-fi-like construction projects and plans to build power-hungry artificial intelligence data centers.

The U.S.-Israeli war with Iran has demonstrated the risks of an economy that depends heavily on oil. Blockades in the Strait of Hormuz have sharply reduced Saudi Arabia’s oil exports, though experts say the steep, war-driven rise in oil prices has helped counteract the economic blow.

Leaders have hoped Saudi Arabia could also become a major exporter of uranium ore. However, it is unclear whether the nation’s deposits are plentiful or accessible enough to meaningfully contribute to the economy.

But if Saudi Arabia is allowed to enrich uranium — whether mined domestically or imported — it could use the material to help meet its growing energy needs, freeing up more of its fossil fuel reserves for sale to other countries.

To forward a vision of modernization

A decade ago, Prince Mohammed announced sweeping plans to transform Saudi Arabia, declaring that he would end its “addiction” to oil.

The plans, known as the Vision 2030 initiative, included major financial reforms, cultural changes and construction projects.

Saudi leaders have also announced ambitious climate goals. In 2021, the country pledged to produce half of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030.

Today, those goals appear out of reach. Less than 1 percent of Saudi Arabia’s electricity is generated by solar and wind, with almost all the rest produced by gas and oil, according to the World Nuclear Association. Climate researchers and activists have accused the kingdom of disrupting global climate summits, impeding agreements to decrease reliance on fossil fuels.

Nevertheless, leaders in Saudi Arabia may see a nuclear enrichment program as part of the green, modernizing vision they have espoused to foreign governments, businesses and their own people.

To boost prestige

Saudi leaders know that developing a domestic nuclear energy program — with the understanding that weapons could follow — will also have implications for the kingdom’s regional and global standing.

Even without weapons-grade uranium, Saudi leaders may see a nuclear energy program as the first step toward building a deterrent to nuclear-armed nations.

The deal also allows Saudi Arabia to deepen its ties with the United States. During years of negotiations with U.S. leaders over the terms of a possible Saudi nuclear program, the kingdom repeatedly threatened to work on the technology with other countries, including China and Russia.

But Neil Quilliam, a Middle East energy policy expert at the London-based research institute Chatham House, said the kingdom waited to find a path forward with the United States because of “the young Saudi leadership’s confidence in the U.S. remaining the dominant geopolitical player for decades to come.”

Vivian Nereim contributed reporting from Riyadh.

The Saudi Wahhabis are the real foe

Since 2001 our policy for fighting Islamic terrorists has been, to put it politely, missing the elephant in the room, sort of like treating symptoms and completely missing the disease.

Policymakers and slow-thinking bureaucrats stupidly let terrorism grow by ignoring the roots. So we lost a generation: Someone who went to grammar school in Saudi Arabia (our “ally”) after September 11 is now an adult, indoctrinated into believing and supporting Salafi violence, hence encouraged to finance it — while we got distracted by the use of complicated weapons and machinery.

Even worse, the Wahhabis have accelerated their brainwashing of East and West Asians with their madrassas, thanks to high oil revenues.

So instead of invading Iraq, blowing up Jihadi John and individual terrorists, thus causing a multiplication of these agents, it would have been be easier to focus on the source of all problems: the Wahhabi/Salafi education and the promotion of intolerance by which a Shiite or a Yazidi or a Christian are deviant people.

If we absolutely need to put people in Guantanamo, it would be far more effective to ship the Salafi preachers and Wahhabi clerics over there, not just the people swayed by their teaching. And if we need to correct the profound Saudi problem, we need to start by sending to them our preachers, educating them into tolerance, explaining the very concept of the separation of church and state. Or, better even, encourage Muslim preachers who promote religious tolerance (“laka dinak wa li dini“) — instead of seeing them ostracized.

And if you find violence unavoidable, it should be directed at the Saudi and Qatari funders of violence, as well as the Salafi theorists, rather than the young performers.

P.S. Beware the usual ISIL crypto-sympathizer who sort of “explains” (that is, justifies) what happened (the intentional targeting of civilians) with some other Western event that can hark all the way to the Crusades… Otherwise it is presented as “biased.” You can spot such people from a mile away. For them, you cannot condemn ISIL without at the same time trying to be “balanced.” Who are they fooling? This is the technique of bundling together problems that should be treated independently, and you need to learn to deal with such people by forcing them to discuss the problem of ISIL on its own.
