My Mom, Dad, sister Jennie and I went to the Virginia Scottish Highland Games at Great Meadows in The Plains, VA on 30 AUG 14. It was a great day to be of Scottish heritage, there was some great piping and both piping bands, smaller traditional music bands and singers, Highland dancers, tons of traditional Highland games and Scottish food, beer, whiskey, vendors and at least 30 clans represented, including my Mom's clan, the Irvines of Drum. We'll definitely go next year! Here are some pics .....

Handicapped parking will be available on a first come, first serve basis.  It is situated near the Entrance.  CAP members will be happy to direct you. We are looking for some volunteers.  Do you have what it takes to spend a weekend with some fun Scots?  We would love to have you help out! (kilts welcome, but not required)    Dogs are welcome to bring their parents as long as they keep their parents on leash and well behaved.  Heat relief stations will be available in the Scottish Dogs area.
