From the martyrization of Charlie Kirk by the global far right to the shocking suspension of Jimmy Kimmel, it has been one helluva week.
I recently asked how you all were finding joy in these times, and the responses have been so lovely to read. Genuinely. Some of you are hosting rollicking "House Concerts" and monthly dinners packed with "artists, therapists, writers, librarians, gardeners, poets, cowboys, many rabid Cribbage players." (Samin would be so proud!) Others are appreciating the more mundane aspects of life, with walking and simply taking in nature. But my personal favorite?
"I'll go out to stock up on whatever snacks and drinks needed in preparation for my ritual weekend romp with my BFF w benefits."
Hell yes, sir. Mother Jones readers, I hope this brings you the same smile it did for me. And on that note, I leave you with an invigorating collection of late-night hosts mocking Donald Trump for cracking down on mean TV comedians.
