SO this fotze took a selfie in space, another fotze bakes cookies, drippings have played with balloons in the iss, taken pictures of Earth, Sun, Moon and stars and released a lame version of 'Major Tom' and the media participates in the iss governments propaganda campaigns justifying this huge waste of money. Cancer, ebola and various viruses kill hundreds of thousands yearly, hundreds of thousands more die from famine and dirty water diseases. Climate change is devastating the Earth, we are still too dependent on dirty fossil fuels for energy and the Doomsday Clock is now at 100 seconds. Yet we continue to waste hundreds of billions on space programs like the iss while they contribute nothing to address any of these problems here on Earth that could have been developed in the ground at a fraction of the cost. One of the goals of the of these programs is to find the specific origin of the universe and prove scientifically how it all began. As far as I can tell nobody has ever explained how this will benefit mankind. Here in the U.S.  most of the government funded space programs are in 'Bible  Belt' states, self proclaimed bastions of Old Testament Christianity who proclaim the Bible as absolute literal truth from God, yet endorse and celebrate and, most importantly to them, profit from the space program mission to find where and how the universe began, willingly doubting the account of creation provided in the first chapter of Genesis, the first book of the Bible.  These fundamentalist Christians aren't alone in their hypocrisy because all religions have their own creation story and all nations participating in the search for the origin of the universe are denying their religion's version of creation. The other goal of the international space programs is to find a planet(s) to colonize, to establish life on to replace Earth when we kill it, kill ourselves. Who will continue our civilization on this new world(s)? Not you or me, though we are paying for it.
