2) Tammy Duckworth is a veteran whose combat-related injuries left her a DOUBLE AMPUTEE—she lost both legs. Under the circumstances, “standing up” may, just may, have been the wrong idiom to use.
Who do the Republicans have running that Twitter feed? Really speechless. It sure will be interesting to see what kind of apology the NRSC comes up with … or if they even bother.
