Kiva goes to school

In honor of back to school month, we wanted to highlight a few new ways Kiva lenders are supporting education. In South Africa, thirty-five students at Maharishi Education Institute are now able to continue their education with 0% interest student loans. And at African Leadership Academy, a program that aims to develop the next generation of African leaders, seven students have received laptop loans to enhance their learning.

Another way you can support education is to lend to families who have children in school. School fees, uniforms, shoes, transportation and books can be a major cost for families living in poverty. As kids everywhere head back to school this month, we hope you consider lending $25 to parents working hard to grow their small businesses and build a brighter future for their school-aged children.
