New! Charity Navigator Now Provides Basic Information for all 1.6 Million U.S. Registered Nonprofits
At Charity Navigator, we evaluate >6,000 charities. That's more organizations than anyone else in America has ever attempted! But with more than 1.6 million nonprofits in America, there are many that do not meet our criteria for evaluation or that we simply haven't been able to rate yet. And up until now, users searching our site for a charity we haven't rated would find no information. But that's all changed with the addition of a profile page for every nonprofit in America.

President & CEO's Report for April
Before I came to work at Charity Navigator, I was a typical user of the site. Like most users, I never read the fine print about which types of charitiesCharity Navigator rated. Therefore, I never understood why some charities did not come up when I did a search on the site. I am happy to tell you that this problem will never happen again! On March 1st, we added a page of information to our site (even if they are not rated by us) for all ~1.6 million U.S. registered nonprofits. To learn more about this major change and the great features we intend to add over the coming months (including a tool to empower you to help us choose the next charities we rate), check out our article here.

They Say It's Your Birthday
Yes, April 15, 2012 was a milestone one for us (10 years), but this one is no less important as we have been hard at work for the past year, successfully launching CN 3.0, adding hundreds of new charity ratings to the site and creating a page of information for all of the 1.6 million nonprofits listed in the IRS Exempt Business Master File (Publication 78).
So please join us in celebrating this year's birthday by making a gift today so we can continue the vital work we do on behalf of you and all of our valued users and supporters!
