Republicans block Paycheck Fairness Act for the 4th time this year 15SEP14

repiglicans and tea-baggers are proclaiming across the their support for and of American women and their rights, goals and aspirations. They just voted against the Paycheck Fairness Act of 2014 for the 4th time this year. Even the fotzen of the gop / tea-bagger svoted against it!!! Remember this when you vote on 4 NOV 14. YOU ARE GOING TO VOTE AREN'T YOU????? Democracy isn't a spectator sport....
Well, they've done it again. While Republicans were running around the country courting women voters, they just voted on a straight party line—for the fourth time—to block the Paycheck Fairness Act.1 The bill would help close the pay gap and bring relief to millions of women and their families. Seriously?! Equal pay for equal work should not be a controversial issue in 2014. With the elections coming up, we know all of Congress is paying attention. We need to show these retro senators that women voters won't stand to be treated like second-class citizens. Can you share this graphic to let all your friends know what these senators are up to?

Right now, women on average still earn $.78 to every man's $1.2 That adds up to a loss of $11,000 a year and $430,000 over a lifetime.3 And it's even worse for women of color--Latinas earn just $.56 on average for every white man's $1 and Black women earn $.64.4 It's ridiculous to think that this is still the reality today, when the vast majority of households rely on a female breadwinner. Without getting rid of loopholes that allow employers to get away with paying women less, we can't move forward toward true equality.
We can't let Senate Republicans get away with this. With elections coming up in November, lots of politicians are paying lip service to women voters. But Senators need to know we're paying attention to their actions and will not stand for anti-woman attacks.

Thanks for speaking out.
