THESE authoritarian, misogynic anti-choice states need to pass legislation providing for the health care, sustenance, housing, education and everything else a family needs to raise children and live a life free of financial distress if they are going to control and deny the reproductive choices a woman should have. Their hypocritical anti-life, anti-Christian attitudes, policies and propaganda must stop and they need to accept responsibility that comes with their decisions. Thank God for the ACLU and their commitment to defend and fight for all women and their right to reproductive choice. This week, we have a victory and a new lawsuit to report out in our fight for reproductive freedom and abortion access. Here's a quick rundown of what to know:
In both cases we want to be clear: Health care providers have a right to counsel their patients on all of their medical care options, including abortion in states where it is legal – and we have a right to travel across state lines to access legal abortion care. Period. We will continue fighting back against these extreme measures and all attempts to restrict abortion access nationwide – blocking them in the courts wherever we can.
