NOBODY should give up on the American people winning the 2020 election on TUESDAY, 3 NOVEMBER 2020, by electing Biden-Harris and a Democratic Party controlled congress. We can not loose faith, we can not stop working on every voter in every precinct to get every vote cast for Biden-Harris and every Democrat on the ballot. Hillary Clinton made a strategic mistake in 2016 - she ignored the concerns of Midwestern working class voters battered by plant closings and betrayed by unfair trade deals.
This fundamental failure to fight for workers gave Donald Trump the opportunity to position himself as the “worker champion” in the race. Unlike Clinton, he pledged to stop corporate offshoring as president.
Trump’s false populism worked - he flipped once solidly-Democratic union strongholds in Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania that voted for Obama-Biden twice before.
Here’s why it matters — Trump is rolling-out the same strategy right now in these “pivot counties” to win this election by falsely claiming he delivered on his promise to bring back American jobs. We cannot afford to let Democrats repeat their 2016 mistakes again and ignore Trump’s economic lies.
Our Revolution is doing what the establishment refuses to do and is organizing our members, including laid-off workers in critical Midwestern pivot counties, to call out Trump's lies at his rallies, get local media coverage exposing his fake economic populist message, and phone bank to have one on one conversations with voters in the counties that will decide this election (and the fate of our democracy).
As Bernie Sanders has warned, Trump is a pathological liar and corporate authoritarian who poses a threat to America’s workers. Can we count on you to chip in before our final quarterly fundraising deadline before the election to fund our critical work to counter Trump's fake economic populist campaign in the Midwest and stop him from pulling the same trick he used to win in 2016?

This week in Ohio, Trump headlined a “Fighting for the American Worker” Rally and bragged about being tough on trade and punishing corporate offshorers. The truth is he’s doing the exact opposite by giving lucrative federal contracts and massive tax breaks to corporations like General Motors, Honeywell, and Siemens that continue to shutter American factories and ship jobs abroad.
The bottom line is this: If we want to win the White House, we cannot allow Trump to get away with lying about his economic track record in critical battleground states.
