Big news in Democratic Party leadership race 13JAN17

Turn on images to see Rep. Keith Ellison.
I didn't bother watching Pres Obama's farewell speech last week. Instead of a celebration I just consider the end of his administration as the finale to the election of donald drumpf/trump as president. Pres Obama could have and should have demanded the resignation of that money grubbing bitch rep debbie wasserman-schultz D FL as chair of the DNC when it became known last Spring she was directing party resources to support Hillary Clinton over +Senator Bernie Sanders I VT campaign. If Sen Sanders had been the nominee we wouldn't be facing 4 years of drumpf/trump-pence. Pres Obama should have fired james comey for his interference in the 2016 presidential election. Instead he became a jellyfish democrat, spineless, unwilling to challenge the corrupt DNC leadership and the fbi and allowed drumpf/trump-pence to win the election. Which brings us to the current struggle for the leadership and direction the Democratic Party for the next 4 years. +Representative Keith Ellison DMN is a BOLD PROGRESSIVE who wants to lead the party back to it's roots of working for, defending and representing the American people. He has a lot of progressives in the party endorsing his bid to be the next chairman of the DNC. To choose anyone other than Rep Keith Ellison as chairman will prove to the American people there is little difference between the gop/tea-baggers and the Democratic Party. We must elect Rep Ellison as the next chair of the DNC. This from the PCCC / Progressive Change Campaign Committee .....

BIG NEWS! Over 20 Democratic elected officials in Wisconsin -- including a new DNC-voting member -- just endorsed Keith Ellison (D-MN) to chair the Democratic National Committee.
On a national media call this morning, Democratic officeholders in Wisconsin discussed why Ellison is the right choice for progressives and to lead the Democratic Party to victory again after Trump's upset win in Wisconsin -- a state that had not voted for a Republican presidential candidate in over 30 years.
400 DNC members -- party leaders and activists in all 50 states -- will vote next month. But things are happening fast now. Please help!
Today's endorsement is a big step forward in our quest to bring new, younger, more diverse leadership to the Democratic Party; leadership that is more ideologically committed to progressive values and is hungry to do things differently.
These Wisconsin lawmakers join Democratic leaders who are rapidly unifying behind Keith Ellison including Senators Elizabeth Warren (MA), Bernie Sanders (VT), Al Franken (MN), Tammy Baldwin (WI), Amy Klobuchar (MN), Chris Murphy (CT), Tammy Duckworth (IL), and Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer, along with former Democratic Leader Harry Reid.
Democrats need leadership that will go beyond issue positions. Like Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, Democrats need to offer a systemic critique of the rigged economy. Democrats must be committed to challenging power. We must inspire a movement that motivates and energizes voters instead of just trying to drag people to the polls.
Keith Ellison is that progressive leader. Keith is Co-Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. He has been our partner in the trenches for more fights than we can count, pushing back against Democratic leadership -- even President Obama -- when their policies were wrong for working people and everyday Americans.
Keith knows the Democratic Party needs a spine and must fight for the working class. And he will invest in grassroots organizing.
Thanks for being a bold progressive.

P.S. Are you an elected official or Democratic Party official who wants to help organize Dem leaders in your state to endorse Keith? Tell us here.

Want to support the Warren wing? Senator Elizabeth Warren says, "When PCCC members donate millions in small-dollar donations and make millions of phone calls for progressive candidates, leaders in Washington, they take notice." Chip in $3 here.
