MARCH FOURTH MARCHING BAND support our Kickstarter campaign + new gigs! 15JAN12

MARCH FOURTH, a way cool experience if you ever get to see them live (I did) has a Kickstarter funding project in the works because they need a new tour bus. Check out their newsletter, watch the video and then check out their project on Kickstarter (watch that video too) and pledge if you can (I did).

Razzle Dazzle 2.0 Bus Fundraiser
Attention friends, fans and family: Please support our newly-lauched Kickstarter campaign to buy a newer tour bus! We just set a new all-time low-speed up-hill record (15 mph), which means our engine compression is starting to fail (we're used to 25 mph at least). This is no joke!! We've shopped around and the bus of our dreams is a MCI DL3, which goes for a cool $42,000.  Check out the bus we're eyeing. If we are successful (yes, we know it is a very ambitious goal) we’ll have just enough to buy that bus, after the Kickstarter processing fees,. Then the fun begins. Retired stilter, carpenter and bus manager Nathan has a plan for the remodel (step one: remove all seats). Welder, drummer and drum-harness designer Richard will weld custom "transformer" furniture that converts from booths into bunk beds. Dancer, Hat-maker and seamstress Faith will sew the curtains. The new bus will be outfitted to comfortably hold/sleep/feed 23 people (in 45 feet or less!). All of this so we can continue to bring to you our brand of foot-stomping, joy-making fun. We can't do it without you, so let's do it TOGETHER. Pledge your support!
In March of 2007 MarchFourth Marching Band bought a 1984 MC9 coach, with at least a million miles, for $10,000 on eBay. We customized the interior and built a roof rack to accommodate all 23 of us and our gear. We call her Razzle Dazzle. Since then the band has logged over 134,000 miles (54,000 miles were clocked in 2011 alone) and that’s taken a toll on our bus. About a year and a half ago, our bus mechanic said the engine had 1-2 years left, so good ol’ Razzle Dazzle is on her last legs. We need your help  to buy a reliable bus that can go the distance bringing all of us to YOU!

About this project

The MarchFourth Bus Project

Your favorite intergalactic marching band, MarchFourth, needs a new space ship! Our beloved bus, Razzle Dazzle, is getting old and she ain't what she used to be. Razzle's not very gas efficient and spews more exhaust than we'd like to admit... and she broke down three times last year! (though amazingly we never missed a gig =) Without a reliable ride, we can't get to your town to rock your face off.
We've got our eye on Razzle 2.0, but it won't come cheap. We need YOUR love and support. We want nothing more than to continue zig-zagging around this beautiful continent, leaving a wake of biodegradable glitter and joy, for years to come. Wouldn't you like that too?
If that's not enough, we are offering some AWESOME incentives to those who back us. Git some. Every supporter over the $10 level will be immortalized on a plaque on our new bus. Thanks in advance and Joy Now! We love you...

Wanna know more about MarchFourth's experience on the road with Razzle Dazzle? Check out the official M4 YouTube Channel and dig all of the Trail Mix: A Life with Razzle Dazzle (HD) webisodes. From Seattle to New York and everything in between, the Trail Mix playlist chronicles the last 10 months of the band's break neck touring. Vicariously hang out with your favorite M4 members in comical behind-the-scenes moments as we dart around the United States and Canada. Kick it all off with a pre-show Razzle break down in Casa Grande, AZ last March. Push play!
We collectively refer to Razzle as our "home away from home," a retreat from the rigors of rocking night after night. Simply put, our bus is what makes us a functional operation. It's plain and simple: there isn't a next gig without a solid vehicle to safely and reliably transport MarchFourth to the show. Every donation - no matter how big or small - goes a long way to keep this band spreading the kind of love that we know is needed out there. We really need your support...
We really do want to deliver on our promise to bring your town the spectacular, one-of-a-kind experience you've come to expect from us. Support the MarchFourth Razzle Dazzle 2.0 campaign today!
