What they're saying: Bills-Bengals 2017 game predictions & Bills Today: McCoy hungry for a score 7&8OKT17

THIS is going to be a dangerous game for the Buffalo Bills. Coming off a well earned victory against the Atlanta Falcons in Atlanta they take on the Cincinnati Bengals in Cincinnati, who just beat the Cleveland Browns in Cleveland. Both teams are full of piss & vinegar because of their road wins, what we expect is for the Bills to remain calm and play the game as the team the coaches and players have built together. This team is the advantage the Bills have to beat the Bengals and make us shout again!!!!

What they're saying: Bills-Bengals 2017 game predictions

Will the Bills win their third consecutive game? Or will Andy Dalton and the Bengals halt Buffalo's win streak? Find out who the national media are predicting in this week's game.
MDS’s take: Maybe it’s a mirage because they were playing the Browns, but I think the Bengals turned a corner on Sunday. They’re going to play better football going forward and beat a good Bills team.
MDS’s pickBengals 24, Bills 17.
Florio’s take:  The Bill are surging. The Bengals are treading water. Buffalo takes another step toward its first playoff berth since 1999.
Florio’s pickBills 24, Bengals 20.
The Cincinnati Bengals are still a good football team. They're certainly the best of the 1-3, 0-4 teams. They'll be at home, they've figured out how to get A.J. Green going, and they have weapons at the running back position.
However, this is a Buffalo Bills team that is playing smart football. I'm not sure if Cincinnati is creative enough to take advantage of the Bills because Buffalo plays a style that forces a team to execute flawlessly all the way down the field to win.
The Bills could also have some difficulty on offense. They don't have a ton of downfield weapons, and running against Cincinnati's talented defensive front could be a problem.
Ultimately, this is going to be a physical, close football game. That favors the Bills because that's exactly the type of game Buffalo has been winning this season. The Bills are accustomed to pulling out close games, which only adds to the toughness Sean McDermott has brought to Buffalo.
PredictionBills 19, Bengals 16
Top upset pick of Week 5
Kevin Seifert, national NFL writer: Bills over Bengals. Cincinnati is going to have a tough time getting much going against Buffalo's defense, which is allowing the fewest points per game (13.5) in the NFL.
Are the Bills for real? They pulled off a big upset at Atlanta last week, but are playing consecutive road games. The Bengals seemed to find themselves last week at Cleveland. This won't be that easy, but Andy Dalton pulls it out late. Cincinnati 24, Buffalo 20
To the delight of Buffalo’s loyal fan base, the Bills (3-1) have rolled to a fast start. They were considered basement dwellers entering the season, but their record cannot be explained away as facing bad opponents, as two of their wins came against Denver and Atlanta. Their defense might actually be as good as it has looked thus far, but there is reason to believe Buffalo has played over its head, while the Bengals (1-3) have underperformed. Pick: Bengals
Buffalo Bills (3-1) over CINCINNATI BENGALS (1-3)
Not that the Bills haven't earned much respect yet, but they're still underdogs to the Bengals, a team it feels like everyone has been laughing at for weeks. Hmm.

Here's the Bills news of note for Oct. 8th.

1 - McCoy hungry for a score
The Bills most dangerous weapon, LeSean McCoy, has yet to score a touchdown this season. It’s been five straight games since McCoy scored a touchdown. That’s tied for the second-longest streak of his career. If he goes without a touchdown against Cincinnati it would match his career long of six games.
His scoreless streak stretches back to last season. It was a Week 16 matchup against the Miami Dolphins. McCoy carried the ball 24 times for 128 yards and added a touchdown.
McCoy acknowledged that he hasn’t found the end zone in a while. He feels it’s just a matter of time until he breaks out.
“(Touchdowns) come in bunches. The way it plays out you get lucky and get three in a game or two in a game. It starts with that first one, that first game, the first touchdown and yards, they all kind of roll together,” McCoy said. “Just got to get over that hump and get going. That’s kind of been our issue. I haven’t gotten in the end zone either. It’s about finishing some drives and putting some points up.”
Despite not scoring touchdowns, McCoy has been beneficial to the Bills offense. He leads the team in receptions (21) and is second in receiving yards (163). The dual-threat running back has been one of Tyrod Taylor’s favorite options.
“Having Shady [LeSean McCoy] back there definitely opens up things behind the linebackers,” Taylor said. “But we definitely have to get Shady going.”
2 - Hyde’s rolling heading into Cincinnati
The Bills first-year safety, Micah Hyde, was a man on a mission in the second half against the Atlanta Falcons. Hyde snagged an interception in the third and fourth quarters of the game. It’s the first time in his five-year career he’s had two interceptions in a game.
The 6-0, 197-pound safety joined The Jim Rome Show to explain what went down on his critical fourth quarter interception.
“Our nickel [corner] Leonard Johnson did an awesome job of getting underneath the throw and getting his hand up. It was tipped right to me and I was able to get my hand underneath it on the diving play. From there just ran it back a little bit,” Hyde said. “I got tackled by a lineman so I’ve been hearing it a lot this week from the guys. So hopefully next time I can get to the touchdown.”
Hyde comes to Buffalo after spending his first four seasons in Green Bay. He hasn’t skipped a beat since becoming a Bill. He’s tied for the most interceptions (3) in the league. The 26-year-old is embracing his new role in Western New York.
“We’re taking it a game at a time. We’re just a bunch of misfits that came here to Buffalo and trying to have one common goal, that’s to win,” Hyde said. “A lot of people are counting us out. We love it that way. We’re the underdogs going into each and every game. We wouldn’t want to have it any other way.”
3 - Bills linebacker is heading home
Fourth-year linebacker, Preston Brown, is heading to his hometown to face the Cincinnati Bengals. The team played there in Week Nine last season, so he noted it’s not as big of a deal this year. Brown’s more concerned with walking away with a win heading into the bye week.
“Going into the bye week it’s a big week for us. A team coming off a great win. Andy Dalton only missed like five throws. It’s going to be a touch challenge for us but we’ll be ready,” he said on The John Murphy Show.
Brown should be flying all over the field against the Bengals. He’s second on the team in tackles (30). The team leader in tackles, Ramon Humber, is out indefinitely with a thumb injury.
Buffalo (3-1) is the underdog against Cincinnati (1-3). Despite the records, the Bills aren’t getting any love on the road.
“We’re excited and we’re still hungry,” Brown said. “We’re still the underdogs no matter how many games we win.”
