Voter Registration and
GOTV Triumphs!In 2012, Cuéntame worked
to mobilize Latinos to register and vote. We worked with 15 individual
groups and 10 coalitions representing over 400 groups, who registered
more than 500,000 Latino voters! We focused on Colorado, Nevada and
Florida with 25 innovative videos – here is one of them.
Beyond Bars Launches Fight for Fair Justice
SystemBeyond
Bars hit the ground running in August, pushing a bold vision
for curbing mass incarceration. We partnered with organizations
nationwide to promote approaches to safety that are rooted in
rehabilitation and prevention. Our videos have profiled law
enforcement officials who oppose the drug war, people who beat
addiction through treatment instead of prison, and shows like Law
& Order that give a skewed view of how the justice system really
works.
War Costs Unravels Deadly PolicyWar
Costs' most successful work in 2012 came from highlighting
the legally, morally and tactically questionable US drone policy
overseas and the incredibly high amount of tax dollars spent by the
Pentagon on drones. War Costs also made a highly-viewed video
to accompany the groundbreaking NYU/Stanford report named Living Under
Drones.

Dear Friends,
I want to thank
you all for your help and support throughout this year. From the Koch
Brothers Exposed film, through our work registering Latino voters, you
have been there for us and we greatly appreciate it. Next year we
will be tackling some difficult subjects starting with immigration
reform and U.S. drone strikes. We hope that you can continue to support our
work so that we can spread these messages to millions of people
across the country. I also want to introduce our new Development
Associate, Hamida, who will be emailing you with our new videos
