What a great feeling to see our 2012 victories brought to life in this inspiring video!

I hope you’ll watch it right away, because it’s a fantastic reminder of just how much NRDC can do for the environment with your steadfast support.

Fighting together this year, we helped defeat ExxonMobil in the Rockies ... saved the only living coral reef in the Gulf of California ... won tougher protections for the last unspoiled gray whale sanctuary ... secured new clean car standards that will double the fuel economy of the average vehicle ... and many many more.

All of these victories were made possible thanks to your strong support.

And right now, you can make next year’s victories possible by making a special year-end gift to NRDC.

You see, even as this year draws to a close, our fight for nature never ends. NRDC’s staff of more than 400 environmental litigators, scientists and other experts must continue working -- right through the holidays -- to protect wildlife and wild places that are under attack.

With your support, we’ll be fighting to win a global ban on the commercial trade of polar bear parts ... stop the destructive Pebble Mine . . . kill the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline ... prevent Shell from drilling near the Arctic Refuge ... and that’s just a start.

That’s why, after you watch this exciting video of the past year’s biggest triumphs, I hope you’ll feel inspired to make a tax-deductible gift today so that NRDC can go right on defending our natural heritage over the year ahead in the most effective way possible.

Make no mistake: You’re the reason that NRDC is so highly regarded as America’s most effective advocate for the environment.
It is your online activism and financial support that stood behind every victory we won in 2012.

I look forward to having you stand with us again as we continue the fight in 2013.

Sincerely,
Frances
