TIM KAINE FOR US SENATE: NEW NUMBERS 9AUG12

THE gop / teabagger campaign of george allen r VA has received $8,000,000 in campaign donations, directly and to super pacs (like those run by the koch brothers and other out of state multi-millionaires) running adds supporting him. He has outspent Tim Kaine D VA 6 to 1 in the race for Virginia's Senate seat in this year's election. Most of Kaine's contributions are from regular Virginians like me (and I am a regular contributor to his campaign). I hope you will consider supporting Tim Kaine's campaign with a donation, no amount is too small, and the stakes are high, so much depends on the Democrats keeping control of the US Senate. Click the link if you can make a donation, and for more about Kaine's positions on the issues go to his campaign website http://www.kaineforva.com/
Tim Kaine For U.S. Senate

There's been a lot going on this week, so I wanted to highlight three numbers you've got to take a look at:

1. This race is a dead heat. Two polls released just this week have this race within the margin of error -- and on par with what we've seen since the campaign began.

2. George's Cavalry -- led by Karl Rove and the Koch brothers -- has already spent more than $8 million on ads attacking Tim. That means they have already outspent us 6 to 1, with no signs of slowing down.

3. Since last April, 29,945 donors have joined our campaign. Unlike George Allen, our support comes from individuals like you, not secretive special interests. The Daily Press notes that we've out-raised George Allen among Virginians and we're beating him in grassroots "donations under $200 by a two to one ratio."

The polls show that the margin in this race is still razor-thin. But with the outside groups launching millions of dollars' worth of new ads, we need to be able to fully fund our media plan and fight back.

Make a contribution now to be help us raise the $68,144 we need to reach our goal before we have to finalize our media buys on August 15th.
