Make someone smile on Earth Day from the NRDC 19APR12

HERE is a great and inexpensive way to help save the Gray Whale nursery at Mexico's Laguna San Ignacio, I bought an acre for my parents...click the link to buy an acre or more for someone you love!

Save a Baby Whale

This Earth Day,
Save an Acre of the Last Unspoiled Gray Whale Nursery for
Someone You Love

Gray Whale
Make this Earth Day count. Save an acre of the world’s last pristine gray whale sanctuary in the name of a friend or family member. It’s the perfect way to help protect gray whale mothers and their babies -- and honor a loved one at the same time.
Save an acre

This Earth Day, please help save the last untouched gray whale nursery on the planet -- and honor someone special at the same time.

For just $20, you can permanently protect an acre of this pristine sanctuary in the name of a friend or family member with NRDC Green Gifts.

Every year, hundreds of gray whales swim thousands of miles to Mexico’s Laguna San Ignacio, to give birth and nurse their young in its shallow, nurturing waters.

Over a decade ago, NRDC’s Members and online activists helped stop the Mitsubishi Corporation from building a colossal salt factory on the lagoon’s shores. But the whale nursery remains threatened by overfishing, unregulated tourism schemes and industrial development.

There’s only one way to keep the whales’ lagoon safe: by putting it off-limits to industry forever.

That’s why I’m asking you to save one acre surrounding the lagoon in honor of someone on Earth Day. There’s no better way to protect the planet and celebrate the special people you share it with.

Thank you for joining thousands of others who are making a difference this Earth Day with NRDC Green Gifts.

Sincerely,
Frances
