A pack of congressmen and senators are taking aim at the Endangered Species Act after northern gray wolves were protected from hunting by the ESA. Yielding to persistent advocacy by Earthjustice, the EPA has told the air district in the smoggy San Joaquin Valley that it has 18 months to fix a regulation that did nothing to clean up facilities that burn coal, petcoke, tires, biomass and municipal solid waste all of which significantly contribute to the valley's major air pollution issues. Read More
